Kids At Work

One fine Saturday morning, as I sat at the porch of our house indulging myself to a cup of coffee, a group of kids caught my attention. They stopped in front of our house and started digging. After few minutes two of them left the group and came back with a medium-sized pale of cement. I could not understand what they were doing but it was amusing to watch them work hand in hand and they were dang serious! When maybe they thought that they'd dug well enough, all of them left. Upon coming back, they were carrying a basketball ring that was about five feet tall. I had no idea where they got it from. Haha! It was work in progress for about half a day but it was worth it! Next thing I knew, theres a basketball court right in our front yard! Ha ha! Later that afternoon, the sky darkened and poured so hard. I was about to take a nap but the noise outside our house made me rose from my bed and peek into the window. The kids are back and they're playing "two on two". It was a beautiful scene to watch when the kids seem so happy, passing the ball to one another and trying to shoot the ball and everything. They were feeling the success of what they've done under the pouring rain, it was amazing.

One great element that these kids had in order to succeed was perseverance. And I realized that there are soo many things that I could do to meet my goals in life. Since I've encounter God in my life, things seem to be easy to handle. I manage to smile at all of my trouble and cry when I am happy. So just to make it easier for me, I took down the things that I want to accomplish. I got surprised because I didn't realize that I would consume two pages of my notepad. there are a lot of things that I want to do on Earth. Gosh! I just wrote down anything that crossed my mind. One on the list is to spend a day biking and I'm so looking forward to it. God knows what is our heart. Like what I said before theres three possible answer to prayer; Yes, No and Wait. Put patience into action in pursuit of your dreams and work at your best.
